Over the next four weeks, invest some time (outside the money hours) in creating a deliberate plan to help your team (consistently) embrace the purpose and vision of your organization, and understand how they are the key drivers to its success. If you do not lead the team by title, suggest the idea to your manager (or lead by example).

Once that plan is in place, invest some time in considering how you might do the same with your customers. What plan could you put in place that would create a consistent and true level of enthusiasm about your company and its products/ services?

On iTunes one-year anniversary on April 28, 2004, Apple reported more than 70 million songs downloaded at a rate of 2.7 million songs per week. By late January 2005, iTunes had hit a quarter of a billion downloads. Then less than six months later, Apple announced that customers had downloaded more than 500 million songs.
